Siliguri Paramedical College offers the following undergraduate paramedical and allied health science programs under The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)

Affiliated to: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS)

About the Course: The BMLT program focuses on the study of laboratory diagnostic procedures and techniques. Students are trained to perform various laboratory tests in pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, hematology, histopathology & Cytopathology  to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Career Prospects: Graduates can work as Medical Laboratory Technologists, Lab Supervisors, or Quality Control Officers in hospitals, diagnostic centers, research laboratories and public health organizations. They can also pursue postgraduate studies or research in medical sciences.

Bachelor of Science in Critical Care Technology (B. Sc. CCT)

About the Course: This course provides in-depth knowledge of patient monitoring, life support systems, and emergency care in Intensive Care Units (ICU), Cardiac Care Units (CCU), and Trauma Centers. Students gain hands-on training in managing critically ill patients.

Career Prospects: After completion, students can serve as Critical Care Technologists, ICU Technicians, or Emergency Medical Officers in hospitals and healthcare facilities. They can also opt for higher education or specialized training in critical care management.

Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre Technology (B. Sc. OTT)

About the Course: B. Sc. OTT trains students in the preparation and management of operation theatres, sterilization techniques, surgical instruments and assisting surgeons during operations.

Career Prospects: Graduates can work as Operation Theatre Technologists, Surgical Assistants, or Anesthesia Technicians in hospitals, surgical centers, and specialty clinics. Opportunities also exist in medical equipment industries and teaching institutions.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

About the Course: The BPT program trains students in the science of physical movement and rehabilitation. It focuses on restoring function and improving the quality of life of patients suffering from physical disabilities or injuries.
